Far West was fantastic! We came home with a first in Non-pro reining, 2nd in Dressage Training level, test 1-Maiden horse (our first dressage test ever), 3rds in Amatuer and Open trail, and 4th in the Trail Championship. The show staff and other exhibtors were terrific! The show organizers are considering new locations for the Far West 2009, including Nampa, ID, and Medford,OR. Let them know if you have an opinion. The Morgan Reining Horse Assoc is hosting the Western Extravaganza in Lincoln, NE, on July 25-26, 2008. We had planned to be there, but unexpected family concerns will keep us at home. Please go and support our working morgans (this is also an all-breed competition). We had a great time at the Idaho Trail Challenge. Thanks to ThistleCreek Ranch for a great event. Hope to go back in August for the next one. We are looking at hosting a couple of DallyPost (Ranch Horse Versatility) events here in Shoshone, ID. Tentatively scheduled for August, 2008. Clinics on Friday and competition on Saturday Horse Affairs was Great! Thanks to everyone that stopped to visit. Congratulations to Amber Lingle, she won the raffle for a 2008 breeding to LittleWood Rio Bravado.
LittleWood Rio Bravado increased his Breeding fee increased to $600. Now that we are riding his offspring as well as himself, we can truely say he is a worthwhile sire. We have donated a breeding to the Morgan Reining Horse Association's Sire and Dam program, which can be purchased from the NMRHA for 1/2 the regular fee.
